Celebration of Children's Day

Children’s day was celebrated in St. Anthony’s High School Lahore Cantt on 20th November 2009. It was a small celebration to make the children aware of the fact that they are very important and means a lot to their parents, teachers and everyone. They should understand elder’s duties towards them and their duties towards elders, society and their country of course.

Sr. Nilanthi, Sr. Luke and Sr. Dorothea were present at the occasion to share the joys of Children’s Day. The event was celebrated in the morning assembly which started with the prayer. A special song was prepared by the teachers for this purpose. Some teachers expressed their views about the day, while a male teacher read his own poetry written especially for this day.

At the end, the Principal, Sr.Nilanthi addressed to the students and told them a lovely story of small children who sacrificed for each other. She wished the children “their day”.

The bunches of balloons were released in the sky and after the school anthem, students were sent back to the classes. In their classes, students were given small tokens of love and care from their teachers.
